Overview

AI companies license business records to train models. This connector lets your AI assistant work out a rough price range for yours.

In a normal run your assistant asks what to count, you give it the numbers, and it returns a range. Only if you ask for an offer does it create an enquiry for our team. Standard usage records are kept either way; see privacy.

Connect

  1. Copy the server URL above.
  2. Add it as a custom connector in your assistant, with sign-in set to none.
  3. Start a new chat and ask what your company data is worth.

Setup steps for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and others are on Connect your AI.

Tools

The connector exposes three tools. Open one for its inputs and behaviour.

assessment_checklistRead-onlySays what to count in each kind of system. Your AI calls it first.
Inputs
None
Returns
What to measure in chat, CRM, support, docs, code, email, project and finance systems, the privacy rule, and how to handle missing numbers.
Sends to us
No company details required. Standard usage metadata is recorded; see privacy.
estimate_data_valueRead-onlyReturns an indicative price range and what would raise it.
Inputs
Staff count, founding year, country (US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia or New Zealand, other) and a list of systems. Each system has a product name, category, oldest year and optional rough volume, people count and export status. Slack public share is optional.
Returns
A low to high range, caveats, what would move it and a next step. Companies under 20 staff or 3 years get a rough band marked below_bar.
Basis
Headcount, years in business, region and number of systems. Record volumes you pass in are accepted but do not change the figure today.
Contacts our team
No. Pseudonymous usage analytics still record bucketed inputs and the range. See privacy.
request_offerWritesSends your contact details and counts to our team for review.
Inputs
First and last name, work email, company, role, whether you can speak for the company, consent to be contacted, the same counts as the estimate, and optional notes.
Returns
A confirmation that the request was received.
Before it runs
Your AI should call it only after you ask for an offer, read your details back and you confirm. It cannot be undone, and calling it twice creates two requests.
What happens next
Our team reviews the request. A review is not an offer, and it does not promise a buyer or a sale.
Limit
Three requests per person per day, plus an overall daily cap. Over the limit, email us instead.

Prompt

One prompt, value_my_company_data, starts an estimate in a single step. Assistants that support MCP prompts show it in their prompt menu.

Example prompts

Paste any of these into a chat with the connector switched on.

  • What is my company data worth? We have 60 staff, founded 2015, in the UK, using Slack, HubSpot and Zendesk.
  • Check my Gmail and Drive for counts only, then estimate what our data could be worth.
  • What would raise our estimate?

The second prompt asks your assistant to look inside your own accounts. Your assistant is a separate service, and the connector does not control what it reads. Tell it to report counts only.

What we receive

The connector is designed to accept summary inputs, not content.

Designed to accept

  • Counts and date ranges
  • Tool and system names
  • Headcount, founding year and country
  • Contact details and notes, only if you request an offer

Not designed to accept

  • Message or file content
  • Customer data
  • Logins, keys or access to your systems

The connector cannot check what an assistant sends. Free text fields such as notes can hold anything, so keep them to plain facts. Your assistant may process the accounts you connect to it under its own terms. We do not receive that content from it.

We also record pseudonymous usage events on our server. The privacy notice lists what they hold.

About the estimate

It is an indicative range, not a valuation and not an offer. It does not promise a buyer, a price or a sale. A buyer decides only after reviewing the real records.

Small companies get a rough band instead of a refusal, clearly labelled. The method is the same one the website calculator uses. How estimates work has the detail.

Troubleshooting

The connector does not show up

Start a new chat after adding it, then check it is switched on for that chat. Confirm the URL is exactly https://sellmycompanydata.com/mcp with sign-in set to none.

ChatGPT will not let me add it

Custom connectors in ChatGPT may need developer mode, a particular plan or an admin to allow them. Options change, so check ChatGPT's own help if the menu is missing.

I got a rough band, not a range

Companies under 20 staff or 3 years of history get a scaled-down, clearly labelled band. We can still review a small company. Use the support address.

My AI keeps asking for numbers

That is by design. It should ask rather than guess. Give it approximate counts and say which are estimates.

My offer request was refused

You may have reached the daily limit, or the connection was interrupted. Email us with roughly when it happened. Please do not repeat the request several times.
