How business data licensing works
Business data licensing gives a buyer permission to use specified records for an agreed purpose. The supplying company keeps ownership. Sell My Company Data helps companies explore licensing de-identified operational records to AI labs and research teams.
What business records can be useful?
A resolved support ticket, reviewed contract or reconciled invoice can show how a task was completed: the starting problem, decisions, checks and outcome. That context is different from a finished public article or product page.
- Messages and support: internal discussions, support tickets and resolution histories.
- Operations and finance: invoices, reconciliations, order histories and exception notes.
- Documents and knowledge: contracts, reports, procedures and project documentation.
- Workflows: connected records showing the steps taken to complete a task.
These are examples, not automatic approvals. Ownership, confidentiality, permissions and the proposed use must be reviewed for each source.
How the process works
- Describe the opportunity. Use the free calculator and share a short description of your records.
- Review rights and scope. Discuss the sources, authority to license, exclusions and proposed use.
- Agree the terms. Define permitted use, preparation, delivery and payment in writing before approved records are shared.
What stays under your control?
A licence does not transfer ownership of your business records. The written agreement defines which records are included, what the buyer may do with them and how long that permission lasts. De-identification alone does not establish a right to license data.
What could your data be worth?
The website calculator provides an indicative range from employee count, revenue and business age. It is not a buyer offer. Actual pricing depends on the records, quality, volume, permissions and buyer review. Read how the estimate is calculated.
